The East-West European Jazz Orchestra was founded in 2008 in cooperation with the Glen Buschmann Jazz Academy Dortmund and the musical institutions of the partner cities of Rostov na Don (RUS) and Novi Sad (SRB). The ensemble stands out above all because of its independent musical imprint on an international level by incorporating unknown cultural forms of music: European jazz and American mainstream jazz are linked to the South Eastern European musical traditions of Eastern Jazz Russian Art and Balkan Folk. This project integrates cultures, lives the European idea and, with the unusual stylistics of World Jazz, focuses on experimenting, international youths and professional jazz musicians from the respective regions.
