The Amsterdam Vocal Session is a weekly event that takes place each tuesday night. Every week, a different jazz vocalist opens the night with a set, accompanied by a trio led by the session’s initiator, Mark Zandveld.
After the opening set, it’s open mic for both professional jazz singers and students of the vocal arts. You’ll get to hear a variety of voices interpreting jazz standards or a surprising sidestep into a neighboring genre. In its fourth year now, this enjoyable experience has found a new home in the newly opened Bethany’s Jazz Club.
